2017 Tryouts

2017 CHS Tryouts

Selections for Varsity, Junior Varsity and C-teams will take place after three days of tryouts.  Tryouts will be on the CHS stadium field.

Tryouts:

Please be sure to arrive by 9:00am each day for check-in and to allow time to get properly warmed up.

Monday, August 21st – 9:30am-11:30am

Tuesday, August 22nd – 9:30am-11:30am

Wednesday, August 23th – 9:30am-11:30am

*Team selections will be announced at the end of the third tryout.

Fitness Tests:

There will be three separate fitness tests, one on each day of tryouts.

Fitness Test #1 – Squid Test — Please refer to table below for test details – you must pass all times to pass the test.

Fitness Test #2 – 3 x 300 Shuttle — 30 yards down and back 5 times in under 62 seconds.  Three minutes of rest between sets.

Fitness Test #3 – 120/60 Pacer — Length of the soccer field (120 yds) in under 20 seconds.  60 seconds to get back.  Then, length of midfield (60 yds) in under 10 seconds.  30 seconds to get back.  Alternate run lengths each time, 7 times.
